When we face challenges or issues in our life, we must remember to speak the Word about that situation, and speak to the situation. Activating the Word through our lips is the way that we express Christ in the earth. We must remember that Jesus told us to speak to the problem, not ask Him to fix it. He is our example, in Luke 8:24 He spoke to the storm, and it subsided. He didn’t ask the Father to calm the storm; He commanded it to be still.
The Power is in the Word
Our confidence is in the Word. The Word will do what God said it would do, and it will accomplish whatever we release it to do, if we have faith in the Word. (Isaiah 55:11)
We must search the scripture, or get a concordance to help us find scripture that speaks to our mountain. If you are sick, you can quote “By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. (Isaiah 53:5) The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is alive and active in me. (Romans 8:11) If you need wisdom, say “I have the wisdom from heaven (James 3:17). Jesus was made wisdom unto me.“ (1 Corinthians 1:30)
Examples in Scripture
For example, when Ezekiel spoke to the dry bones that’s what made them come together (Ezekiel 37:7). That’s the same way we activate the Word in our lives. Second, the fig tree didn’t die until Jesus spoke and said, no man shall eat fruit from you again (Matthew 21:19). Whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. (Matthew 16:19) When you pray and confess the Word, you know you are praying the perfect will of God.
How do you respond to worried thoughts?
Here’s and example of how to handle worried thoughts. If you ask someone you know and trust to hold your car keys, every time you worry and think “Where are they?”, you remember this trusted person has your keys. Then you don’t worry about it, but trust that they are in good hands. It’s the same when we speak the Word to our mountain or our situation. No matter what it looks like in the natural, hold fast to your confession and confidence in the Word. The Word always works.
However, be careful because the reverse is true also. Matthew 12 :34 says by your words you are justified and by your words you are condemned. We must be aware of our words and be intentional with them. Choose your words carefully. They activate and bring you what you say. Remember, this can work for the positive or the negative. The Word is a seed. So, we sow seed when we speak. We can uproot or cancel the seed as well if we speak unbelief about what we are confessing. That is why the Bible says let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but what is good. (Ephesians 4:29)
With faith the Word will manifest.
Be careful what you say, or what seed you sow. Water it with your confession and faith. Then watch it manifest.
