The Back Story
Before talking about his book, I’d like to share the back story. I believe you need to hear more about Dr. Johnnie and how he came to write this book.
From early on as a young child until the present hearing the voice of the Father has been Dr. Johnnie’s passion. He has dedicated himself to be sensitive to hear what Holy Spirit is saying to him. One thing I can say after working with him for thirty-two years is that he does hear from Holy Spirit. Not only does he hear, but he is also led by Him. He is a renowned prophet displaying proficiency in giving personal prophecies (Words of Wisdom and Knowledge) that are “spot on”. Many times he receives feedback from those who have received a prophecy. He is often told there is no way he could have known what he said in the prophecy. It had to be the Holy Spirit speaking through him.
A Heart To Share
I am always amazed by Dr. Johnnie’s desire to share with others all of the knowledge he has gained. Besides preaching, he has been writing “Be the Word” nuggets for well over a decade. We share them on social media and by email. His first two books display some of his best nuggets. He not only includes what the Word says, but he also encourages believers to “Be the Word!”
Life Changer
It is good to believe the Word, but it is life changing to be the Word. This means that we walk by faith and take action toward doing what Holy Spirit leads us to do. That is one of the fastest ways we mature in the things of God. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is the most fulfilling and rewarding thing we can do.

Dr. Johnnie not only gives his knowledge and encourages us to be a doer of the Word. He even provides an avenue to practice what he is teaching. In this academy students are taught how to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit and to develop the spiritual gifts given to us by our heavenly Father. Participants are then given a platform at our events to be led by the Holy Spirit as they operate in these gifts.
Hot Off The Presses
This newly released book is more evidence of his yearning to build up the body of Christ. It was birthed from his desire to hear the Holy Spirit as a child and it being realized in his life as an adult. He understands the frustration of wanting to hear the Holy Spirit, but lacking the knowledge of how to hear Him. In addition, he also knows that Father desires to communicate with us, His children. It is also Father’s desire that we are led by His Spirit. Then we may receive help as we live out our daily lives.

“Father Is Speaking” is an eye opener. Discover how much Father loves us and wants to communicate with us. Dr. Johnnie shares how important this is through some experiences he has had. He tells of times when he heard Holy Spirit speak to him. Because he obeyed quickly, the lives of his family were saved. Also shared, was a disheartening time when he did not obey immediately and a life was lost.
There are many factors taught throughout this book. You will discover that God has given us authority and dominion in the earth. We are taught to use His Word on our behalf. Being able to recognize that there is a difference between obeying the law of the Word and having a relationship with Jesus is paramount. Learning how to speak and think according to the Word of God will cause the Word to produce good things in your life. Another important element is to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which fills us with His power. Then we are able to operate in the spiritual gifts.
